May 27th, 2009 1:39 am After reading this book, I requested that all of my leaders read it as well. It opened my eyes to the mistake many of us pastors make. We often mistakenly assume that if someone communicates well, in a church setting, they must be called to preach. I feel that Bishop Fonzer clearly articulates from a Biblical perspective, the importance of the ministry of exhortation in the church. New Birth Community Church Marietta GA Evangelist

May 26th, 2009 6:51 pm My dear friend, you have defined a long standing situation that has gone unnamed and unappreciated because we failed to understand that there is a difference. One of the things I tried to do in my ministers meeting was to get each person that felt a calling to seek the Lord concerning his or her calling before pursuing that calling. I have seen people that were, as you described, exhorters; who when given an opportunity to stand behind the sacred desk in the name of preaching, were a complete failure at preaching, but were a great inspiration at exhorting. The book is aiming in the right directions. We could only hope that this material would fall into the right hands and is used in the proper manner. I must say that you have done your part by enlightening us on the difference between these valuable ministries. Keep the pen busy. May 28th, 2009 11:12 am It was very hard to know that I was feeling what I was feeling, knowing that I was hearing from God, and knowing that what He was giving to me was not just for myself. But even after our ministerial classes and accomplishing the task of preparing and delivering a sermon within the parameters provided, I did not feel like I had done anything more than accomplish what I was directed to do. I sweated it in terms of trying to deliver God's message like everybody else. I could make it fit, but if you have to make it fit, it isn't what God designed it to be. I didn't know what exhortation was or that there was even such a thing as an exhorter but when I read your book it was as if I was written about on every page. Probably for the first time in my life I have looked at something so defining and felt so freed by it. I read page after page and it was scary because I wasn't seeing something written by someone else about someone else and thinking I would like to be like that or be that. I was reading it and it was me. Elder Karen Bowen (a licensed pulpit exhorter who is pastored by the author)

May 27th, 2009 1:51 am Praise The Lord: I'm enjoying the book you sent on Exhorters,I haven't got deep in the book yet but I can see the your spiritual microscope at work. I pray that this book will open eyes in the body of Christ. The Bible talks about making full proof of our calling, I believe that God used you to hit that mark with this book.

May 27th, 2009 1:43 am I love the book, I am an exhorter if I was not for sure before reading this book I am sure now. I thank God for you obedience in writing this book. Generations will be set free to do what God has called them to do. I have never heard it explained like this. It was straight to the point and that is exactly what I needed. I have been exhorting at my church ever since I read the book. l am free to do what God has called me to do, to EXHORT!!!!

May 27th, 2009 1:40 am I purchased, read, enjoyed and benefited from your book. I almost finished it in one sitting. My spirit was moved when I saw that a book was written about this mis-understood but much needed gift in the body of Christ. Even though I know that I have been blessed with the gift of exhortation, I'm continuously learning how to walk in obedience in this gift.

March 31st, 2010 7:58 pm This book was an amazing read for me. I truly had no idea that I was an exhorter and because I am, the following is what I posted on facebook about the book: "OH MY WORD!! I am going through myself reading this book! Very powerful! Simply exhilarating!!" After a couple of comments asking my recommendation for the book, I responded with: "Oh my yes! I will finish it today. It certainly explains a lot for me. I have a greater understanding now of who I am ... why I am driven to do some of the things that I do ... why certain things frustrate me ... and I've been putting together things people say that I'm good at that I don't necessarily see and things that I do see ... and even things that have been prophesied over me. Amazing! =)" I think that says it all! Blessings to you, Bishop!!

January 4th, 2010 1:54 pm I read the book the same day it arrived. It's arrival took awhile, but it came right on time. Every paragraph was choked full of anointed nuggets. I couldn't put it down until I was finished and I plan to read it over and over. This book really captured my calling and my experiences, to date. Thank you, Bishop, for being obedient in writing this book. I passed your info to several church members who will be ordering.

December 17th, 2009 12:46 pm Praise Jesus Bishop. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is worthy to be praised !! I just wanted to thank you. For writing the book " Don't make me preach I'm an Exhorter !!" This book has blessed me so much . A more than onetime read I still have it on my night stand. It has clarified the meaning of Exhorter. My Youtube name is Exhort 91. It was that before I read your book. As I have been calling people out my whole life. Although I see myself as a called minister. I can now clearly see the importance of exhortation. the blessings of the Lord be upon you,
